MetaOps Marketing 6-Step Process

To effectively implement a strategic and tactical sales and marketing plan there are six steps you must follow for each target market. They are described below. Each time your company goes through the process, it will go faster because some steps will not need to be repeated or the information will serve for multiple target markets. The process is designed as a wheel or cycle - this means you will revisit the process repeatedly to make sure the market has not changed and the marketing and sales approach is still working. You will also evaluate trends that may not be affecting your company now, but could in the near future. The MetaOps Marketing system will arm you to be a leader for fast follower and not a lager. 

1. Induction

Solid foundation

This workshop will set the stage for dramatic new changes in your sales and marketing by involving your employees, introducing everyone to the rules behind marketing, and giving your people an opportunity to become familiar with the new way of communicating.

3. Investigate

Study clients and rivals

It's necessary to develop an understanding of the Voice of the Customer to align your Inside Reality and Outside Perception. Learn your customers’ and prospects’ specific expectations and desires, and create innovative ways to differentiate yourself to become the obvious choice.

  • Make educated statements, then prove or disprove them using your customer survey.
  • Reveal the weaknesses of your competitors.
  • Uncover innovations that will separate you from your competition.

4. Plan

Communication approach

Develop the strategy to plot your marketing and sales course. You'll identify the marketing pieces and tactical implementation that will provide the fastest return for your company.

Goals

  • Develop a strategic plan.
  • Pre-test and test your marketing message for increased ROI.
  • Create a sales process map. Automate the marketing process to ensure consistent results.
  • Develop a tracking method to measure ROI.

5. Leverage

Staff as ambassadors

The business can dominate its markets forever when all the employees know and communicate the same message to everyone they contact.  You never know who knows who, or where, a current customer or prospect is to be found.  You’ll also assimilate the sales team with marketing strategies.

6. Implement

Deploy and track

Without implementation, nothing happens. This is where you start to see the fruits of your labor. Pull it all together: Deploy your materials. Track, Test and Record the results. Compare your results to the previous outcome to evaluate your success.
